Emotional Freedom Technique, or EFT, is a gentle mind-body practice that helps you release emotional stress by tapping on specific points on the body while bringing attention to what you’re feeling.
The tapping is a form of somatic acupressure—a way of communicating with your body's energy system and nervous system simultaneously. Think of it as a way to speak to your nervous system with compassion. Instead of pushing feelings away or trying to power through them, EFT invites you to slow down, notice what’s coming up, and create space for it to move through.

Traditional therapy often lives in the mind—we talk about the "why." While that is valuable, EFT lives in the body. Often, our minds understand our patterns, but our bodies are still holding onto the tension. EFT bridges that gap, allowing the physical body to catch up with the mind’s understanding so you can truly release what you’ve been carrying.

Not at all. One of the gentlest things about EFT is that we don’t have to dive into every detail of a story for it to be effective. We work at the pace of your nervous system. You are always in control, and we only go where it feels safe and supportive for you to venture.

Many of us have spent years learning how not to feel as a way to survive. If you feel "numb" or "disconnected," that is simply a sign that your body is trying to protect you. We don’t force the doors open; we sit gently with the numbness itself. EFT is actually a wonderful tool for slowly and safely reconnecting with your body’s wisdom at a pace that doesn't feel overwhelming.

It is beautifully both. Scientifically, EFT is shown to lower cortisol (the stress hormone) and calm the amygdala (the brain's alarm center). Spiritually, it is a practice of presence and self-compassion.

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer, because healing is deeply personal. But I do recommend starting with at least 3 sessions so we have enough time to create safety and build momentum.
So often, we wait until we are in a state of crisis to seek support. But the real magic of EFT happens when we use it proactively—coming together once or twice a month to clear the emotional "dust" before it settles. Just as you might go to a movement class to keep your body fluid and strong, these sessions are a way to keep your inner world clear, spacious, and resilient.
EFT can be both a place to heal and a place to maintain. 🤍
